Krystal Knight

Krystal has recently taken on the role of Chair of Governors at Woodside having originally joined the LAB as a Parent Governor in 2022. Krystal has two girls at the school, with the youngest due to finish Year 6 in 2028.  Krystal’s background is within Policing, which is where she has nurtured her career over the last 20 years. Her passion is working within the Public Protection Unit, where she works with children, young adults and vulnerable adults. She engages with people from all walks of life and from many different backgrounds both socially and culturally. Safeguarding children is at the heart of the work that she does and she understands just how important this is to every parent that sends their child to Woodside.

Outside of her career, she enjoys the outdoors with her family and loves to explore the UK and beyond in their campervan. Krystal and her family love walking, paddle-boarding and wild water swimming when the opportunity presents itself. “The wellbeing of my family is incredibly important so it is forever my goal to ensure the correct balance between my career and my family.”

Krystal believes that a good education, that is a broad one and goes beyond the academic, is fundamental to ensuring our children can become the best versions of themselves so that they can ‘live life in all its fullness.’ The ethos at Woodside seeks to do just that and Krystal as chair, along with the LAB, aims to support them in achieving their goals.
