Trust HR Officer

I’ve been involved in HR support for education since 2019 and joined the Trust in 2021. Prior to this I was Operations Manager of a small software company so had many fingers in many pies, including HR, finance and compliance. Currently CIPD qualified with an Associate Diploma in People Management and Associate CIPD membership I am working towards completing my CIPD Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management this year. 

As Trust HR Officer myself and my team support all schools and the central team with their HR and payroll needs. We are HR generalists whose role is to be involved in all aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruitment and retention, employee well-being and engagement, development and training and employee relations. We are focussed on creating relationships across the organisation to support everyone in following best practice to achieve the goals of the Trust.

Carly Watton

HR and Payroll Apprentice

Carly joined BDMAT in November 2024 as the first HR Apprentice. Carly has achieved her Level 3 in HR and is currently studying to achieve her Level 5 in HR. She currently assists all schools with general first responder HR queries and is first contact on payroll and pensions enquiries for all Schools. Carly enjoys her role and believes it offers her a good work life balance. Outside of work, Carly enjoys spending time with family and friends, holidaying and watching her favourite football team.
